Hello babylonsticks!

Overall, really nice work!

Lines are generally smooth and confident. There are times where they get wobbly lines, and at times arc, but I see they improve throughout the submission. Still, to note, smooth and consistent lines are much better than accurate, wobbly ones.

Ellipses:

There are some nice, smooth and confident ellipses. However, there are instances of wobbling. As with lines, smooth and consistent strokes will outweigh accurate, wobbly ones. So, take your time to ghost the strokes with your shoulder and then mark the stroke.

Also, you are mostly drawing through your ellipses, which is great. There some moments where the ellipses are not drawn through. Draw through them 2-3 times, no less and no more.

Boxes:

For the plotted persepective, don't forget to extend the lines all the way back to the vanishing points. Otherwise, nice job.

In rough perspective, good job in keeping to the 1-point perspective. While it is challenging, the horizontal lines should be parallel to the horizon line, while vertical lines should be perpendicular to the horizon line. You've done this mostly, though there are couple of lines that are more diagnonal.

Kudos on getting through the rotated boxes exercise! There are boxes that aren't actually rotated. Nice job on drawing through the boxes and keeping them neighbored.

In the organic perspective, great job keeping the boxes on the path you've drawn out. As the boxes get smaller along the path, they depict that they are gradually moving away from the viewer. Regarding perspective, you're off to a really nice start. There are some lines that diverge, making the planes of the box that are further away appear larger and making the perspective feel off.

Lastly, there were just a few instances where there were lines corrected. No matter how tempting it is, don't reinforce a line to correct it.

Congratulations on completing lesson 1! Keep up the nice work.

Fantastic, thank you!

PureRef

PureRef

This is another one of those things that aren't sold through Amazon, so I don't get a commission on it - but it's just too good to leave out. PureRef is a fantastic piece of software that is both Windows and Mac compatible. It's used for collecting reference and compiling them into a moodboard. You can move them around freely, have them automatically arranged, zoom in/out and even scale/flip/rotate images as you please. If needed, you can also add little text notes.

When starting on a project, I'll often open it up and start dragging reference images off the internet onto the board. When I'm done, I'll save out a '.pur' file, which embeds all the images. They can get pretty big, but are way more convenient than hauling around folders full of separate images.

Did I mention you can get it for free? The developer allows you to pay whatever amount you want for it. They recommend $5, but they'll allow you to take it for nothing. Really though, with software this versatile and polished, you really should throw them a few bucks if you pick it up. It's more than worth it.
