Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

This is a resubmission in order to fix the labeling.
Hi Snowguy! I am Feldspar and I will be critiquing your work today. I hope you've been keeping up with your 50% rule and warmups while waiting! Lets start!
Lines
Superimposed Lines: I see no fraying on both sides or wobbling. Good work!
Ghosted Lines: Confident lines, good job!
Ghosted Planes: Solid planes all i can say
Ellipses
Tables of Ellipses: I see some ellipses "float" on the page without any targets. Ellipses need to have two borders that encase them, to check their accuracy. But i think it not a big deal as i believe it is about accuracy and will sort out itself with warmups, just keep it in mind.
Ellipses in Planes: Some of the ellipses are wobbling and egg-shaped but i see you trying to put them snugly agains all borders and they are confident so this is the matter of some warmups. Remember, confident but inaccurate line > Accurate but wobbly line.
Funnels: Good funnels. Try to vary size and shape of ellipses through warmups and optionally change the degree with every ellipse.
Boxes
Plotted Perspective: Nothing to add here.
Rough Perspective: I noticed your line confidence took a big hit, remember, confidence beats accurate!
Rotated Boxes: You have a eye for rotations! Solid job. Although because your left boxes on horizontal line and upper boxes on vertical line aren't actually rotating(having different vanishing points) resulting boxes that stands near them not rotating too. Remember that throughout your future warmups.
Organic Perspective: In the beginning i see you have problems with converging(some of the edges of corresponding boxes are diverging or parallel to each other) but with every block of this exercise it get better! Edges start to converge correctly and you definitely understand the core principals behind this exercise. I believe with 250 Boxes Challenge instructions, you will understand and get better with Organic Perspective exercise even more and have plenty of time to experiment with boxes. Keep it up!
Next Steps:
I give greenlight to 250 Boxes Challenge.
Add these exercises to your warmup pool and don't forget about your %50 rule (I will advise if you haven't followed it, you should go ahead and pay your 50% play debt before the challenge)
Have fun!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I knew my ellipses needed work, but I had no idea that some of my boxes on the rotated boxes exercise weren't actually rotated. Your review really means a lot to me!
These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
