Hi, gonna try my hand at giving you a critique for this lesson.

On you arrow ribbons you have nice shading and most of them get smaller as they go back in space. I only saw a couple where they did not seem to so that. Good job on those.

The organic forms with countour elpses and curves look really nice. You seem to have really understood that concept and you did really well on making them feel like they have mass.

Your texture excercises look amazing especially when looking at your organic form textures. That second page was amazing . You did very good at making your textures look accurate.

The form intersection pages are goof too. I can see that you aretaking your time to lay down confident lines. Great job.

The organic intersection look good , again you really showed the objects habing mass, which is great . Toy did a good job on the shadows.

Overall, Good job.!

Next Steps:

I think you can move on to the next step.

Color and Light by James Gurney

Color and Light by James Gurney

Some of you may remember James Gurney's breathtaking work in the Dinotopia series. This is easily my favourite book on the topic of colour and light, and comes highly recommended by any artist worth their salt. While it speaks from the perspective of a traditional painter, the information in this book is invaluable for work in any medium.
