Finally!!! It took me around 22 days doing 1-5 pages per day.

Any feedback will be much appreciated!

Congrats on overcoming a huge challenge!

Good job on exploring a variety of different types of boxes. I see that you have pretty confident lines which is an essential part of the exercise. Though I did notice a few things. Certain pages have boxes in 1 or 2 point perspective. The 250 Box Challenge specifically focuses on drawing a box in 3 point perspective. The fact that you have drawn a diversity makes sure you know the anatomy of a box and you get how a box sits correctly in 3D space.

Overall you did a decent job in completing the exercise and understood the purpose.

Next Steps:

To improve more on the accuracy of the lines you can practice superimposing lines. You can move on to the next lesson.

Also try to leave feedback for other students. :)

Good luck!

Thank you so much for your feedback!

I was unsure about the 1- and 2-point perspectives in this exercise, so I did them just to make sure. In hindsight, I think they helped me get a better grasp of the 3D space.

I'll continue with the lesson 2!

PureRef

This is another one of those things that aren't sold through Amazon, so I don't get a commission on it - but it's just too good to leave out. PureRef is a fantastic piece of software that is both Windows and Mac compatible. It's used for collecting reference and compiling them into a moodboard. You can move them around freely, have them automatically arranged, zoom in/out and even scale/flip/rotate images as you please. If needed, you can also add little text notes.

When starting on a project, I'll often open it up and start dragging reference images off the internet onto the board. When I'm done, I'll save out a '.pur' file, which embeds all the images. They can get pretty big, but are way more convenient than hauling around folders full of separate images.

Did I mention you can get it for free? The developer allows you to pay whatever amount you want for it. They recommend $5, but they'll allow you to take it for nothing. Really though, with software this versatile and polished, you really should throw them a few bucks if you pick it up. It's more than worth it.
