Congratulations on completing lesson 1! You did a good job overall and I can see you improved a lot.

Starting with your super-imposed lines I can see you did a good job of pushing through and keeping your lines fairly straight. With your ghosted lines you do a pretty good job of maintaining this, though I do notice that you have a little trouble with ending your lines. You struggle with this in your planes homework too. Just remember that the confidence of the stroke is far and away your top priority. Accuracy is something that you will improve on as you continue working through Drawabox and practice ghosting. While it is important that you use the ghosting method of each mark you make while doing Drawabox one thing you can try to help with ending your marks closer to where you want them is lifting the pen off of the page rather than stopping the motion of your arm.

With your ellipses in planes you did a good job of drawing through your ellipses correctly and with confidence. Your ellipses here are smooth and are starting to have a more even shape by the end of the exercise. In your ellipses in planes you do a pretty good job of maintaining this. Your planes here look better with your lines doing a better job of ending where you intended as well! Lastly for this section is your funnels. You maintained a good level of confidence and consistency throughout this section and your funnels are no exception. Your ellipses remain confident and smooth looking with very few signs of hesitation. I do notice that some of your ellipses are tilted along the minor axis. If you notice your ellipses are tilting you should rotate the page until they line up correctly.

In your rough perspective homework I can see that you were careful when placing your boxes. You did a good job of keeping your horizontal lines mostly parallel with the horizon and your vertical lines fairly perpendicular. You also did a pretty good job of maintaining the quality of your mark making. I see very few signs of hesitation in your work here and you got most of your boxes to converge on or near the plotted vanishing points!

The rotated boxes exercise is a challenging and complex exercise. You did a pretty good job for your first effort. Your boxes are pretty well constructed with a lot of straight, confident looking lines. You also remembered to draw through them correctly while getting a good amount of rotation along the major axes. The biggest thing I notice is that you did not keep your gaps narrow and consistent, causing you to have to use guess work as shown here.

Finally with your organic perspective boxes I can see some room for improvement with getting your sets of parallel lines to converge more consistently towards their shared vanishing points. That is something you will work on more in the next steps. I also see that the quality of your construction has dipped a bit here. Keep in mind as you progress through Drawabox and begin to construct more complex forms that it is important to put in the time and focus required to execute each line correctly and to apply the ghosting method to every step of the process, as explained here.

Congrats again and good luck with the 250 Box Challenge!
