Hello!

Lines

They generally improve over the set and it looks like you are proritizing confidence over accuracy which is great! There are some lines that are a little bit wobbly, but overall they are confident.

Theres a little bit of fraying when you go over them specifically on the superimposed lines. Fraying at the end is normal but the line should never fray on the starting point so try to be mindful of starting at the same point every time.

There are also some lines that are arching a bit,so make sure you are using your shoulders. If you are still having difficulty while you are using the pivot , you can try to fix it by trying to arch consciously to the opposite direction.

Ellipses

Ellipses are generally great as well. Your ellipses are a bit wobbly. As with the lines remember to prioritize confidence over accuracy.

On the ellipse tables, the ellipses should be kept within the bounds, each ellipse touching each other, without overlapping.

On the funnels, you are having a bit of trouble when aligning the ellipses to the minor axis. The ellipses cant be tilted because the major axis is perpendicular to the minor axis. so try to keep them straight. Also when the initial curve is wrong you tend to stick to the curves. Focus on making the ellipse be cut into 2 symmetrical curves by the minor axis even if the curves are off, even if you have to ignore them.

Boxes

You have some repeating lines, especially in the organic perspective exercise. No matter how off the line is, never repeat it. Just keep the line as it is and move on as if it were correct.

On rough perspective, width lines should be parallel to horizon and height lines perpendicular to horizon.

I know this is difficult but try your best. Don't forget to use the line correction method as one of your boxes don't have any correction lines.

On rotated boxes, the corner betweens boxes must be kept close. Don't do this.

Also some of your boxes aren't rotating https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/17/notrotating

You have some perspective issues throughout the set but nothing much to worry about as you will be doing the 250 box challenge next.

Overall you've done a good job, good luck on the box challange!

thank you for critiquing my work! I surely need to work more on my linework and perspective...

I will ensure that I will take your points into consideration from the next exercise onwards!

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
