This is April progress check. I want to do full rendered works at least every month to see how my skill has improved. Tbh I like it. It really looks pretty good considering the fact I'm a nooby just yet. I don't wanna hurry things up and finish lesson 1 too soon. I created my own challenge to improve my foundation, and the idea of it is to draw 100 pages of tables of ellipses. I've drawn 13 by now and I see a lot of improvement. This challenge allowed me to draw this current work since it has a lot of ellipses. I also want to learn a bit more about perspective before I move to the next lesson(or should I say challenge). I think that basics should be strong and then everything in the work will look great. My lines are already pretty confident and even my accuracy is high enough at my current level. Btw, the perspective. It's really poor at the moment. I will start the box challenge a little bit sooner. POV I wanted to learn the figure drawing... I couldn't draw a demn box properly. I need to learn how to do it rn. I just want to know it rn. I'm gonna grind again, huh-huh. Well. I like it. It improves me. I learn some other stuff along the way though. I watch the Charles Hu's sketching course and it's awesome. Although, I'm currently at the second week but I'm gonna keep on going. I think i will submit the lesson 1 in 2 weeks or maybe even a month. As I just said I don't wanna hurry up. Basically, that was it.

Here are some sketches as well:

Glad to see a fellow DST fan in DrawaBox

It's my favorite game. I really enjoy the art style Klei chose for their game. It's actually fun to draw items and characters like it is some kinda artbook. I wanna keep on drawing dst stuff for this whole month as well and at May 1 draw a dragonfly as progress check work. It will have a lot of details, so I think it should be fun. I actually run out of interesting things to draw from dst already. There are some bosses left for me to draw but in general there is not much left.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
