Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

This is my lesson 1 drawings. Any critique would be appreciated.
Hey there! Congrats on finishing lesson 1.
Lines
Your superimposed lines are looking a little wobbly, especially the curved ones. Remember--confidence over accuracy. Make bold, confident strokes using your shoulder pivot. However, they don't appear to be fraying at both ends, which is great! Ghosted lines also appear a little wobbly but mostly fine. There's also a little arching at the beginning/end, which again can be corrected with the shoulder pivot if you aren't already doing so. If you are, don't worry about it.
Ellipses
Your ellipses are a little messy but there's considerable improvement from the first ellipses exercise to the funnels, so good job! You appear to have only drawn through the ellipses 1.5ish times in the beginning but have corrected that in the later lessons.
Boxes
Good variation with your rough perspective boxes--looks like you were experimenting a lot with different sizes and lengths, which is great! You appear to be overshooting your ghosted lines a bit, but that will improve over time. Most of the issues you have with your boxes homework can be fixed by practicing ghosted lines before you do the boxes.
Next Steps:
Move on to the 250 box challenge and be confident in your lines!
Thanks for the descriptive critique!!
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
