Hi, this is mina today I will be the one to Critique your work

Before starting I would like to congratulate you on finishing the plants part

Starting

For the organic arrows, I have nothing to say other than that you did a great job

for the Leaves exercise, everything was just great the flow was perfect but I think if you add texture to just practise it would've been better and I can see that the last leave is a little bit off but thank you for trying

The Branches exercise is good but I can see some scribbles that I believe you should've avoided as mentioned in the video.

plant drawings you made 7 and the exercise said 8 so can you add the last page if you forget to do so or draw it if you didn't

thanks for your hard work wish you all the best for the next lesson

Next Steps:

The last page of the plant drawings exercise

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hello Mina! Thank you for taking the time to critique my lesson 4 and for the feedback provided.

Apologies for missing a page of plants, I made a mistake when uploading them to reddit and have posted the last page (#4: Maple Tree Branch) here: https://www.reddit.com/user/BowtieBuck/comments/vyizfp/missing_plant_lesson_4_drawabox/

The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.
Sakura Pigma Microns

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
