Hi puffer,

I hope my critique is helpful given that i am new to critique and even I am still learning to draw.

SO HERE IS MY REVIEW

LINES-

You've done a good job keeping the superimposed lines as straight as possible along with frills only on one side.Try not to rush or lose your patience when drawing over the lines and as always draw with your shoulder, this will not only keep your linework smooth but you will also be able to make straight lines more easily. The lines drawn by the ghosting method need some work. They are sligntly curving and also shooting a little off the other point,Which as it seems you have improved when drawing the planes.Draw your lines confidently without hesitation.

You forgot to take the pictures of the planes page and have submitted them with the ellipses.

ELLIPSES

Your table of ellipses is good. What I think is that you tend to rush when drawing over your ellipses the second time,as a result the second ellipse does not coincide with the first properly.

Table of ellipses exercise is satisfactory, just make sure to draw over your ellipses twice before lifting the pen and also to keep the ellipses tightly snug between the plane..For ellipses in funnel, you've done a good job to increase the degree of ellipse as it moves outwards.YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO PRACTICE ELLIPSES.

BOXES

When drawing boxes in plotted perspective, you have really pushed the boundaries in between the two vanishing points.ALWAYS remember, keep your boxes in between the cicle drawn with the distance between two vanishing as its diameter. You'll find this in additional notes in boxes part. For rough perspective, you need little practice. The rotated boxes work has been done EXCELLENTLY.Hatl-off bro.I myself cannot provide any suggestions for such an excellemt work.

When trying to emphasize that one box is ahead of the other, instead of highlighting some part, try highlighting the full silhouette, itll look better. Also try S curves as it willprovide you more soace to work with.

Considering your work in the rotated boxes exercise I would suggest you to immediately jump to the 250 boxes challenge .

I hope my review helps. You can check out my work and critique it if you want.

Thanks

Next Steps:

Practice the ellipses in planes exercise, starting from scratch(blank page) meaning draw the planes and then the ellipses and you'll improve.

Thank you for the thoughtful review!

You forgot to take the pictures of the planes page and have submitted them with the ellipses.

Oooops..

YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO PRACTICE ELLIPSES.

I agree, my ellipses need more love and I'll definitely work over it. I wasn't rushing, I just have a hard time doing them twice overall.

Regarding the rotating box I happened to see that the black boxes (the ones in the most extreme angles) should have its inner corners facing up instead of down:

There's always room for improvement!

Once again, thank you very much!

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
