Lesson 2: Contour Lines, Texture and Construction

Dissections took way longer than expected, but I pulled through. Any advice and critique going forward is greatly appreciated!
I like the way you showed depth in arrows exercise.
The lines are also looking solid except for a few places where I could spot some scratches.
The eclipse in contours are also looking solid too.
The texture analysis is looking great too.
I like the way you did the banana. It is looking cool except that the stem is little out of position.
I think you could have incorporated the gradient from light to dark in the cross section exercise too.
In the cylinder drawing part major axis of the farther end with bigger minor axes will be smaller than the nearer end. I found this out while drawing intersections. The story will hold out more. But you must read the 250 cylinder challenge description of find out what the actual thing is. I think it recommended only after lesson 6 so I am backing away from it for now.
I hope this will be helpful. Could you please critique mine too.
Next Steps:
I think go ahead to lesson 3. However you may also take a peek of 250 cylinder challenge so that you could better understanding of cyliner drawing.
These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.
Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
