Critique for lesson 1-
- Superimposed lines- they are quite confident and are only fraying in one side most of the time, which is ideal.
*Ghosted lines- The lines here are also confident.Keep practicing the ghosting method throughout the course, and it will get easier the more you practice it. It's still very good for a beginner though.
If you find yourself arching your lines too much in a particular direction (up or down), try to purposefully draw/arch your lines in the opposite direction to draw straighter lines.
*Ghosted planes+ ellipses in planes- The lines of the planes are good. Try to draw the ellipses in such a way that they are perfectly encapsulated in the plane (i.e.touching all 4 corners of the plane) . Also, try to draw them tightly and concisely (with not too many lines fraying/separating from each other,). Keep practicing them in the warmups.
This applies to all other exercises with ellipses too.
*Box exercises (plotted perspective, rotated boxes, rough perspective, organic perspective) - Your boxes look believable and in correct perspectives. This is a major achievement, especially in lesson one. You
can learn more about boxes in the 250 box challenge, although they are pretty great now as well. Keep practicing it though, so that you can fully grasp on the concepts.
In short, you did well on lesson one and have learned the major concepts and foundational skills. Best of luck for your journey in this course.
