Making the most of my quarantine time. Logged almost 100 hours in April. Tried a little bit of everything, ink sketches, marker renderings, construction, spaceships, etc. Was exciting to take a step back and look at everything. Still need to work on perspective. I find that I spend too much time in details versus making sure form, composition, lighting/shadows are correct. Most pieces were drawn from reference images. Did some tutorials from SketchFactory on Instagram as well.

Absolutely stunning, I peeked at all your monthly doodles and I was blown away by your landscapes; rocks and plants in particular. Although you already shared your inspirations for studies, do you mind sharing how you improved in those subjects? Did you follow some guide/tutorial/literature or you just practiced on other masters' works? Thanks a bunch, I really hope to see more of your sketches :D

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
