Do I draw convergence lines along my drawn lines or the dots?

Hello! I have a bad case of the wobbly lines, and because of that my lines often miss the dot I establish before drawing the line. This causes a problem when I try to check my convergence, as the lines I actually end up drawing are wobbly and are aimed off of where I wanted it to go. So, my question is, do i draw the convergence lines with my ruler along where I intended the line to go or where the line actually went?

First you need to fix your wobbly lines. Perhaps go back and practice early lessons for a while until your line drawing confidence improves.

Second, you use the lines you actually draw. The purpose is to learn from mistakes you make. What you intended doesn't matter.

Thank you! I will do just that

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
