So glad to have finished this.

In some places it looks like I tried to correct lines. This is not the case, it is simply a result of going over the outer lines a second time (and missing) as suggested in the lesson instructions for adding line weight.

Looking forward to lesson 2.

Hello Vazu!

Congratulations on completing the 250 box challenge! It is definitely not an easy task to sit every day to draw boxes, so you should be proud of yourself!

I have taken a look at your work and here are some things that I have pointed out:

Boxes 1-100:

Wobbly lines: I just pointed out some lines like in box no. 19, for example. Make sure to prioritize confidence over accuracy! And I totally get the part that you "tried to correct lines" that mistake happened to me too, so I feel you! You're not alone.

Boxes 100-250:

The other boxes were a bit hard to critique since I couldn't point out many mistakes! Overall, I noticed you were aware of noticing your own mistakes by marking an "X" or circling at diverging lines, so great job! The box variation in orientation is nice, you know your lines should be converging, you extend your lines in the right direction, inner corner is nice and foreshortening looks good!

Something I could recommend, would be to play around more with foreshortening!

I have recently just completed the challenge as well, if you could take some time to look at my work I would appreciate that very much!

That is all from me :) Again, congrats on completing the 250 Box Challenge and onto Lesson 2!

Have a great day!

Next Steps:

Great work! Onto lesson 2!

Hey Eijih_,

Thank you for taking the time to look at my submission.

I agree that my lines are wobbly at times. I already got this feedback on lesson 1 and I think I have improved quite a bit throughout this challenge, but there's still room to improve for sure.

Hope to see you again at the end of the next lesson. I don't know about you, but I'm glad to be drawing something other than boxes for a bit. :D

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz is a book after mine own heart, and exists very much in the same spirit of the concepts that inspired Drawabox. It's all about getting your ideas down on the page, doing so quickly and clearly, so as to communicate them to others. These skills are not only critical in design, but also in the myriad of technical and STEM fields that can really benefit from having someone who can facilitate getting one person's idea across to another.

Where Drawabox focuses on developing underlying spatial thinking skills to help facilitate that kind of communication, Rapid Viz's quick and dirty approach can help students loosen up and really move past the irrelevant matters of being "perfect" or "correct", and focus instead on getting your ideas from your brain, onto the page, and into someone else's brain as efficiently as possible.
