Overall- You overlapped shape and form quite well throughout all of your drawings.

Feedback- pay closer attention to how big or small the overlapping forms are on each animal. On a couple, you overshot your ellipses. I'm referring to the zebra pictures and the owl head picture.

My favorite drawing in your submission is the one where the giraffe has his head bent down. On that one, you had a clear sense of construction. It also felt like you had a lot of confidence in showing the gesture of the giraffe. So major props to you for that, because I know that wasn't easy.

Next Steps:

Action steps: Redraw the zebra and the owl head with a focus on drawing the ellipses more confidently and paying closer attention to how big the ellipses are.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
