Hello, I'll be critiquing your work today.

Lines

Starting with the Superimposed Lines, the two pages are good. There is minimal fraying on the starting end. The first page consists of shorter lines than the second, which is fine, but the second page demonstrates that longer lines have far more arching, which is normal. Next, for the Ghosted Lines, remember that the start of the line should be right on the dot; otherwise, the exercise is completed excellently. Finally, the Ghosted Planes are great, but there is a small amount of overshooting, so I suggest trying the lifting method (https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/10/lifthand) from the Ghosted Lines exercise.

Ellipses

The most obvious issue with the Tables of Ellipses is that the individual table cells of the first table are not filled as much as reasonably possible. This is not an issue in the second table, so remember to carefully read instructions. Otherwise, the ellipses are confidently executed and fit within their boundaries, so this exercise is well-done. Next, the Ellipses in Planes are good but some of the ellipses are diagonal, which is not quite following the specifications of the homework. Each ellipse should snugly touch all four edges of the plane (https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/13/step2), so there should be as much space occupied by the ellipse as possible. The Funnels exercise is missing the degree change (except one funnel), which is fine, but many of the ellipses are wobbly. Other than that, good work on keeping the ellipses into the curves. Remember that confident execution and smoothness of an ellipse are as valuable as fitting them into the boundaries.

Boxes

For the Plotted Perspective exercise, the perspective is done correctly and the lines are neat. Do note that the hatching should be done on the same side for all the boxes in a set (i.e. all the boxes in a set share the same front plane since they all converge to the same vanishing points), which is a problem for a small number of boxes in the first two sets (https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/15/step8). Next, the Rough Perspective exercise is good. The horizontal and vertical box lines are roughly horizontal and vertical, which is great. It's difficult to make lines straight and confident while estimating where the vanishing point is, and a lot of effort was put into doing this exercise. Just remember to use a different colour pen for the correction lines (this is important for the 250 box challenge where there may be a lot of arbitrary lines on your page). The Rotated Boxes exercise is not great, but a lot of effort was clearly put into the rotations and the construction of boxes, which is the main objective of the exercise. It may help to keep the lines tighter (https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/17/guessing) and to ghost towards vanishing point, since some boxes are not rotated correctly (like the bottom-left corner). Finally, the Organic Perspective exercise is shows confidence in box construction, which is great. There is a good variety of boxes, and many of them are executed fantastically. There will be a lot more boxes to practice getting their convergence right.

Summary

All sections of this lesson are done well. The lines are confident, the boxes are getting there, but the ellipses can do with some work, so as you do your warm-ups, please include some ellipses. Other than that, you are ready for your first challenge.
