Hello Strings! Overall you've done a pretty good attempt, though there are some important things I want to comment on, let's go over everything section by section:

Starting with your lines you start off sometimes changing the trajectory of your superimposed lines a bit, which made them a bit wobbly, but by the end of the ghosted planes you're doing a great job committing to your lines and drawing them confidently even if they're going to miss then ending dot, which is just what we're looking for!

You still have a few places on which some of the ends or starts of your lines get a little bit wobbly, so keep an eye on that, but overall great progress!

Other than that you are doing a great job planning every line and executing them carefully so they only fray on one end, so nothing else to say! Keep practicing like that and accuracy will keep getting better with time.

Moving onto your ellipses they're confident just like your lines on the lines section, which is exactly what you're meant to do!

Your accuracy is pretty good in general as well, there are a few cases in which you don't get the ellipses to touch the sides of the adjacent ellipses or them to touch the top or bottom lines, but in general I think you're aiming for them. Keep practicing and accuracy will improve with time!

Another thing is that your ellipses get a bit deformed at times. This applies as well to the ellipses on ghosted planes, which I think they're a bit more deformed than the others. You might be thinking that the centre of the ellipses is the same as the centre of the planes or that you should modify the elliptical ellipse shape so it touches the contact points, but this is not the case. Ellipses have to be symmetrical and have the same shape regardless of where they are, so the only things you can change is how wide the ellipse is, which position it is in and their size.

Lastly on your funnels you're doing mostly a good job alligning them to the minor axis! Only thing on the allignment is that sometimes the ellipses are a little bit angled, make sure they're straight, as they need to be cut symmetrically by the middle line.

Finally in your boxes a few things:

-Your lines are still mostly confident, but sometimes they get a bit wobblier unlike previously, your first priority with lines is to make them confident and straight just like in the lines section, so focus on that first and don't worry if you need to sacrifice accuracy to achieve it.

Here's one example, top line is a level 1 line, and bottom line is a level 0 line. This is because a confident line will always be better than a wobbly line in these exercises. In general try to approach them just like an individual ghosted lines exercise. Remember that these boxes don't have to look good, they're just practice for yourself. So if they help you get better it doesn't matter how they look!

-You're in general doing great not repeating lines even if they went wrong, good job!

-On plotted perspective you did a good job following the instructions of the exercise, nothing to say here!

-On rough perspective apart from the line issues I mentioned you are already doing some good attempts at guessing the perspective and you're doing a good job with the line extensions, but you still seem to have trouble at times keeping height lines perpendicular to the horizon line, and width lines parallel to it. I know it's hard, but make sure you always are aiming for it. You can check if the starting and ending dots are correct or not, and if you find that they aren't you can change them. You can put down as many dots as you want as long as it's before drawing the actual line, so give it a shot!

-On rotated boxes you've done a great attempt apart from the line issues I mentioned. Most boxes are rotated and all are kept close together, good job! The only thing is that some of the boxes on the outer ends aren't kept as close together as the closer ones, which made the exercise harder than it should, so keep an eye on that in future attempts at the exercise.

-On organic perspective the main thing is that I think you aren't drawing starting and ending points for all of your lines. If this is the case make sure you do it because it's super important for applying the ghosting method properly.

Remember also that you can add lineweight to the parts of outer lines that overlap with other boxes to clarify which ones are on top and which behind, so give it a try next attempts you have at the exercise!

Lastly you are already doing some good attempts at the perspective of the boxes. Good job! They still have issues but that isn't a problem as you'll work on them on the box challenge.

Overall like I said at first you've done a good job, but I want to make sure you can plan and draw confident lines consistently on boxes before moving on, so I want you to do one more page of rough perspective. Focus on getting the lines as confident and straight as you can, and don't worry about accuracy until they're straight, like you were doing on the lines section. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot for the critique! I took two separate pictures of my revision, before and after extending depth lines as I thought it would be easier to judge. Here's my revision https://imgur.com/a/xa9sqk1

Good progress! Lines are more confident now. There are still some wobbly lines, so remember to focus from now on on getting all your lines confident and straight as your first priority, but good job!

Last thing is that some of your dots are a bit big, make sure you make them as thin as the lines so you can assess the results of the ghosted lines exercises correctly.

So! Overall like I said previously you've done a pretty good job so I'll mark this as complete.

From now on you need to do warmups before every session, so don't forget about them! And make sure you ask any questions you might have. Keep up the good work and good luck on the box challenge!

Next Steps:

250 box challenge

While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.

The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
