First of all congrats on finishing the box challenge! You've done a good job, and have improved through it though there are some issues I want to point out.

First is the lines extensions, you've extended all of the lines, which is great, just as instructed. I recommend drawing the extensions more, even if they collide other boxes. That way you'll be able to check your mistakes better.

Second is size. On the website you're told to do 5-6 boxes per page, using your whole page, so you can draw big. I've noticed your lines get a bit wobbly at times, which hints me you might have been using your wrist as well. Don't forget you should be drawing all lines with your shoulder, focusing always on confidence over accuracy.

Another thing I notice is that the orientations of your boxes are pretty similar. Take a look at this diagram so it gives you more ideas about what boxes to try.

Third is repeating lines. I've seen you repeating some lines that went wrong. Never do this. Leave them as they are, as if they had been correct, and move on. Correcting them will only make the drawing harder to read.

And last is I think you might be focusing at times in making lines parallel. Remember that on 3p perspective lines can't be parallel. They have to converge, even if the convergence is minimal.

Next Steps:

As you've drawn pretty small and have the issues I mentioned, I'd like to see 10 more boxes, with a maximum of 4 boxes per page. Draw as big as you can, and be sure that those boxes fill the pages. When extending your lines, don't be afraid of those lines to collide with other boxes, extend them as much as you can. Keep it up, and good luck, you're almost there!

Thank you once more! I did twelve more boxes according to what you explained me. I am still unhappy with my results. I can see the flaws, I try to avoid them but I make them all again. I am planning to make the 50 boxes suggested by the other critique but I would like to see your opinion first. This challenge has been really tough for me.

Those are much better! Hatching is optional, if you can do it to get extra practice, and I do recommend it, as well as adding lineweight with superimposed lines to the silhouette, but if you don't want to do it, you don't have to.

About the boxes, like I said, they're better. You're still having problems with the convergences, and I'm pretty sure is because you're thinking about lines in pairs, instead of thinking about all the lines at the same time. When drawing a line, you need to take in mind all of the other lines on it's set of parallel lines. It's explained here on this diagram.

I've found doing boxes on this order helps as well, so be sure to give it a try, specially for shallow foreshortening boxes.

Next Steps:

Do 5 more boxes with shallow foreshortening, to see how you're doing with them, and you're done, keep it up and good luck!

I disagree w a lot of what Elodin wrote.

im seeing lot of different forshortening and your extension lines are certainly long enough to see mistakes.

2 things:

1) you havent adding any hatching to a side of the boxes. this is extremely helpful and adds line practice.

2) all of your perspectives are similar, 3/4 top down view. try doing more with one side dominant, other side foreshortened, then try the opposite side dominant, and also try doing a bunch with the bottom VP moved to the top so youre looking from below.

i do agree that youve put too many per page. 4-6 is ideal.

Next Steps:

id recommend at least another 50 boxes, 4-6 per page, more variety, with good hatching.

When it comes to technical drawing, there's no one better than Scott Robertson. I regularly use this book as a reference when eyeballing my perspective just won't cut it anymore. Need to figure out exactly how to rotate an object in 3D space? How to project a shape in perspective? Look no further.
