Thank you for bearing with my revision there Haitrinhbach!

Regarding the critique, I highly recommend that you post Lesson 2 and 4 on the official Drawabox discord. https://discord.gg/FvvSHrFb Especially in #critique-exchange. Read the pinned message and you'll prob figure out how to put your work in the critique queue spreadsheets.

I recommend putting a halt to lesson 5 for a bit since. Like me, people might ask for revision with your work and i recommend you do the revision first before moving forward since it'll fill out any holes in your understanding of the lesson. (Drawabox lesson is built one on top of the other after all.)

Now regarding the cactus

Here are my little demo i made for you here and also this one by uncomfortable. Poles This will be very useful when drawing fruits (such as apples , Peaches etc.) but this can also be applied to your cactus too.

And finally. When moving forward with the lesson. Don't forget to checkout informal demos and finished official homework of the lesson too. You'll find a lot of useful information here and there to further improve your understanding of the lesson.

Now lets finally moving on toward reviewing your submission.

(For future submission, It would be great if you could provide your reference in the submission themselves. Since this will allowed the person that is critiquing your work to further understand what your weakness might be)

General advice.

In general try to be confident with your stroke. It's fine if you mess them up and they end up in the wrong place. just try your best to be as confident as you can with them. Your line work has improved since the last time i critiqued, But there's also a room of improvement. So i highly recommend practicing Tables of ellipses , Ghosted planes.

And always remember. When drawing ellipses. be confident just like lines. Always draw through them 2 - 3 times and even if the second stroke doesn't actually overlap with the first. That's fine

Plant 1

Your mushroom largely felt pretty solid. You're using the branches method nicely, However when you're connecting the mushroom, try to make sure that the branches is connected to something. Like this You can clearly see that the branches stick to the furthest ellipse, thus making the construction more believable. right now Your branches seem a bit like it's floating in the air.

Additionally. when adding details remember to think as shapes instead of lines. You can see in this demo (https://drawabox.com/lesson/3/4) that although Uncomfy is starting with lines first. He never ended with just lines. he always added shapes on top of them.

Plant 2

First thing that jumps out of me is that your pot felt a bit too thin. Always remember that pot have thickness (I made this mistake on my submission too. You can check them out if you're curious.) and you should always add another ellipses to convey it thickness.

For the branches it mostly look pretty solid and believable, Same goes with the leaves.

Plant 3

For this final plant. You're actually doing pretty well! you're applying the branches and leaves technique nicely. and you're actually drew the stem pretty well too. (Assuming it's lotus). For details you can always refer back to plant 1 for instruction.

Branches.

Those so far looks good. You're making a step toward the right direction. Although there's visible stroke present. This is very common and will get better with practice.

Next Steps:

This new round of revision clearly show a sign of improvement toward what i've critiqued earlier.

You're starting dead simple with geometrical form , Organic form and following my advice on drawing only one plant on the page and as big as possible for you to work toward spatial problem.

As i said your major concern here is your line work. Although i didn't see any chicken scratching present. I think you can be a lot more confident with your lines, Since they'll help you out in conveying form to be more solid and believable

I think you're actually making a step toward the right direction. And although there's a lot to be improve on.

and I'll be marking this lesson as completed

Before moving on to lesson 4. Make sure to check out the discord link i sent earlier and also get your lesson 2 critiqued before moving toward lesson 4 too.

Best of luck.

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.
Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
