Hello and congrats on completing lesson one. I'll be taking a look at your submission today. Starting with your superimposed lines these are off to a fine start. You are keeping a clearly defined starting point with minimal wavering except on curves which is pretty normal. Nice work. Your ghosted lines and planes are both having a bit of wobble but I'm seeing improvements so that's good to see. Keep practicing the ghosting method and drawing from the shoulder and your linework will get keep getting more confident and accurate.

You mentioned that you are having trouble with ellipses and I can see what you mean. Even though you are ghosting and drawing from the shoulder you are still tending to deform your ellipse shapes quite a bit. Please check the lesson notes here. https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/12/deformed This is likely happening because you are probably still a bit too concerned with accuracy while making your stroke and it's probably causing you to slow down your mark and that's what causing the deformed shapes so much. Try and just rely on that muscle memory you build up with ghosting and almost make your marks without thinking. This will be more inaccurate at first but the more you practice the better it will get and you should end up with smoother and more confident ellipse shapes overall. Other than the deformed ellipses your table of ellipses and ellipses in planes looks fine for the most part. You are doing a good job drawing through all of your ellipses which is good to see. You are also having some issues with your ellipses tilting off the minor axis here and there with your ellipses in funnels. https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/13/notaligned Your ellipses still need plenty of work so keep practicing them during your warmups.

Plotted perspective looks great nothing to mention here. Your rough perspective boxes are looking pretty good. You have a mix of confident linework and wobbly linework here. Make sure you keep using the ghosting method and drawing from your shoulder. Some people tend to revert to drawing with their wrist for the shorter lines in this exercise and that is one of the reasons there tends to be a lot of wobbly linework. You should always be drawing with your shoulder or elbow as the pivot point even on shorter lines. Your wrist should be reserved for detail work only. You did a good job extending the lines back on your boxes to check your work. As you can see some of your perspective estimations were a bit off but that will get better with practice.

Your rotated box exercise was a decent attempt. Your linework is a bit wobbly here which is likely because you are using your wrist. You did a nice job drawing through your boxes and keeping your gaps narrow and consistent. You didn't quite nail your rotations though and in some cases just had your boxes simply moving back in perspective instead like on the left side. This is a pretty common student problem since this is a very hard exercise. https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/16/notrotating This is a good one to come back to after the 250 box challenge to see how much your spatial thinking has improved. Your rotated boxes are pretty decent. Your linework is massively improved here which is great to see. You appear to be using your shoulder and the ghosting method really well here. Your box constructions are relying pretty heavily on parallel lines so I think the 250 box challenge is a great next step for you.

Overall this was a really nice submission with some great growth in terms of line quality and confidence particularly on that last exercise. Make sure you keep up with using the ghosting method and drawing from the shoulder and keep practicing those ellipses. I'm going to mark this as complete and good luck with the 250 box challenge!
