What if my pen is dulling while I draw a line?

I'm tackling the 250 Box Challenge right now, and many times my lines dull when I draw them. Should I redraw the line, or throw the pen out and use a new one?

It is possible you are positioning your pen at angle that seems as if it is losing ink or has a broken tip thus making dull lines. Try using it straight down to see if the ink quality gets better; If it doesn't get better, get a new pen. For the box itself, you should not try to redraw the lines that went dull. For Line extensions, If you are able to realign your ruler to the near exact line extension you made previously, it should be fine to go over it again as long as it's the same color you did before.
Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.
Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
