Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

I plan to rework on some of my exercises after the 250 boxes exercise, in particular the organic perspective (I think I've made quite a mess there) and the rotated boxes (which was actually quite fun, despite some obvious errors and more wobbly lines that I wanted).
In retrospect,
-
I still have too many wobbly lines. I get sloppy, and it happens mostly when my attention is too focused on the task at hand when there are so many things to consider at once (I found organic perspective to be crazy difficult).
-
Ellipses are very hit and miss (mostly miss). I found out with following warm up exercises that, if I ghost with my pen closer to the page, and I go a bit slower than I do with straight lines, they tend to look slighly better.
-
Perspective is hard without tools. I think my main mistake is being afraid to commit, so I either converge too often, or focus too much on a single face causing lines on the opposite face to diverge.
-
Need to get better at line marking. I've found out that the faster I go, the less I can differentiate between lines. It's particularly bad with organic perspective, where I tried to add some depth to some already drawn cubes, and it didn't go well.
