Hello, to get right to the point. When we are creating are constructional drawings for any lessons above lesson 2, do we count the demos as being part of the whole amount of homework required or do we have to draw the homework drawings by ourselves, as a example. Lesson 3 requires you to draw 8 filled pages of constructional exercises as a whole, do the demos count as being part of those 8? or do we have to draw 8 constructional exercises by ourselves

Before jumping into your own plant constructions, be sure to go through all of the technical exercises and demonstrations included in this lesson. I strongly recommend drawing along with them as well and following them closely when doing so. If you choose to, you can include your attempts at following the demos in your homework, but they should constitute less than half of your plant drawings.

I am a little confused by the wording as well. The Instructions say you can use your attempts at following the demos for homework, but constitute less than half of the total plant drawings. I believe it means that you can only submit up to 3 attempts at following the demos out of the total 8. (The rest being on your own)

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
