Going through each of your assignments:

LINES

  • Superimposed Lines - Nice job with these. I don't see any wobbling, but I do see some lines that fray on both sides of the line. Make sure you are positioning your pen correctly when you go to make your stroke. This problem seemed to occur more often on the various arcs and not so much on the straight lines.

  • Ghosted Lines - I'm noticing some wobbling with the lines. Strokes should be made from the shoulder (if you are not already doing that), and should be made in a single, confident motion. The moment the pen touches the page, any opportunity to avoid a mistake has passed, and you must now commit to it.

  • Ghosted Planes - Has some of the same issues as the Ghosted Lines exercise on some of the planes.

ELLIPSES

  • Tables of Ellipses - I see that you are drawing through your ellipses as you should, and that you are striving to get the ellipses to touch the bottom and top of the table, but there are some that have gaps around them. Additionally, I am noticing that a good deal of the ellipses here are deformed, which I think may be caused by wobbling.

  • Ellipses in Planes - These ellipses are also being drawn through well, but similar to the previous exercise, are coming out deformed and not quite touching the sides of the planes. These are likely being caused by wobbling as well.

  • Funnels - Much like the previous exercises, I am noticing that you are drawing through your ellipses well, but they are still coming out deformed likely due to wobbling. I would also be mindful of the direction of the ellipses, as they should be aligned with the minor axis going through the funnel.

BOXES

  • Plotted Perspective - Great job with these! You did a good job placing the vertical lines perpendicular to the horizon line and are correctly plotting your lines back to the vanishing points.

  • Rough Perspective - Great job with these as well! The exercises deal with 1 vanishing point as required, and each of your line extensions are extending back as they should. You have each of the front faces rectangular as they should be, but I am also noticing more wobbling here as well.

  • Rotated Boxes - These look rough, but you made a very good attempt at the challenge! You followed through the instructions in setting up the exercise and even did a good job setting up the vertical and horizontal boxes, but struggled to align the boxes in the corners (which can be very tricky!). It helps to keep the boxes closer together (some of them seem to be drifting away). Good job drawing through your boxes!

  • Organic Perspective - Nicely done! I'm seeing little dots, which tell me that you were using the ghosting method with these, though I am still noticing some small wobbles.

Overall, you seem to have a good idea of the core concepts of the Lesson. I see that you have gone ahead to Lessons 2, 3, 4, and 5 already without receiving critiques. I'll go ahead and critique your Lesson 2 assignment, but you should also go back and complete the 250 box challenge, which should have been done between Lessons 1 and 2.
