Hello,
Here is my work up until 250 box challange.
Best regards,
Aleksa
Heyy, Aleksa:)
Congratulations on completing lesson 1, I must say that I took a look of your submission before writing the critique and I'm impressed!! so here's my critique for your work
Lines:
I really love your super imposed lines, very neat and crisp. Although there's noticeable frayings at the end of the second page of your lines, don't worry as you will improve with practice as you move on. Likewise with your ghosted lines and ghosted planes, I can see the effort and time you've given to ghost and execute your lines.Great job!!
Ellipses:
I love that you're implementing various degrees of circles in your table of ellipses (that's what the exercise wants you to do) although my only critic is that there's noticeable gaps in some frames for instance, the second with the fourth and fifth frames on the left side. You can draw small circles to snuggly fit in the gaps. Your funnels looks great as well, there's two funnels on the right that are slightly unaligned regardless you followed the instructions to a T.
Boxes:
Your plotted perspective looks great and you've already made sure the back edges of some of your boxes are parallel instead of being skewed (which is actually normal and is the byproduct of this exercise and with practice, it shall reduce with time) honestly you are ready for 250 boxes challenge! your contour work is neat and presentable as well.Likewise for your rough perspective, you got almost all lines of your boxes to hit right close to the vanishing point or the horizon (as I've mentioned, accuracy will be gained through practice). I really love your rotated boxes exercise, your boxes are lined up and looks consistent, great job and don't forget to continue to practice it for your warmups! Your organic perspective exercise looks great as well, my only critique is to add lineweight on the part of the lines that overlap especially in the second page of this exercise.
Overall, you did a great job and this is one of the best submission I've critiqued. I know you've made sure to follow the instructions thoroughly. You did an incredible job! Also please add these exercises in your warmup pool for the 250 boxes challenge as well as for the other future lessons.
Next Steps:
Your next step is to move onto the 250 boxes challenge while continuing to practice these pages. There's fun randomizer you can use for your warmups, you can add new exercises to this while you're moving on from one lesson to another

Thanks for the critique.
Best wishes.

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
