Could you take a screenshot of how you're filling the submission form? I've seen some people put their url in the wrong field on occasion, thinking that the url field is a subject line instead (the submission title for homework is generated automatically).
After a lot of trial and error I was able to figure it out. I either didn't see the separate URL field or thought it was the subject field, like you said. So it's a bit of a UX issue. I would suggest highlighting the field that is invalid or needs to be filled in to draw the user's attention to it.

This is easily my favourite book on the topic of colour and light, and comes highly recommended by any artist worth their salt. While it speaks from the perspective of a traditional painter, the information in this book is invaluable for work in any medium.
