When do I move on to next lesson? (Lesson 1 to 2 to 3 ...etc)

After completing a lesson and submitting them for review (completely, not partially), do we move onto the next lesson immediately or do we wait for the critique and next actionable step?

I'm lost as i HAVE read to move on when you have grasped an understanding of the lesson, but i also want to gain as much as possible from each lesson and bringing in mistakes from previous lessons would deter one from that goal

I'm asking this as I'm just unsure and if the instruction was given in the previous lessons, I didn't see them.

Also mainly because I'm just concerned about bringing mistakes from the previous lessons to the next if i have any (which i probably do)

if we do have to wait, what do you guys/gals do in the meantime? practice your own works/projects ?

What are your thoughts.

Basically, do the homework amount > posthomework for critique > do any requested re-dos with advice given (if asked for re-dos) > move on to the next lesson/challenge keeping in mind advice you've been given, and applying this to future warmups and lessons.

while waiting for critique, work on personal projects/fun drawing projects

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
