Lesson 2: Contour Lines, Texture and Construction
5:24 PM, Monday May 11th 2020
Hello! ^-^
2 Lessons down 5 to go!
A few things to say here:
1) I know its in pencil from this point on through, so lesson 3 onwards, its going to be in pen (ballpoint pen to be exact)
2) The first page of intersections, the one with 3D forms, i know that everything is of differing size and that there are wayyyy too many form on that one page. That one was done before the others and was my first one, which is why, on the other sheets there are far less forms and they are of all of more equal size with each other.
3) I pretty much struggled with everything after contour ellipses, so thats the texture analysis and dissections which together took me almost 3 weeks to do; and both the intersections and organic intersections were hard for me (organic intersections were slightly easier though; slightly)
4) Some things i spotted myself doing, after spending so long doing the texture stuff, which is more demanding on the wrist when you draw them, while doing the intersections, i was not using what i had learnt in lesson 1, the idea of confident and smooth lines, i unfortunately reverted back to "chicken scratches" (or whatever you want to call them), which isn't great; i know that. With the textures, trying to not focus on the forms themselves was HARD, and i feel i still outlined the forms in many cases, however by the time i had done that, I was on my 3rd re-do of dissections and really didn't want to start again, so yeah, sorry? There are probably way more mistakes that that, because if past experience has told me anything, there is always more wrong than right with what i do ????
Thanks in advance~
