Finally done!
I think I saw an improvement in my box forms as I went on, but one thing I kept doing even towards the end was having two sets of parallel lines extend towards the same vanishing point, but not the third set. Would there be any advice to fix this, or would this be just a matter of practice?

first thing your boxes are too small you should have drawn them bigger so you can extend the lines more to see where you are going wrong
my advice to you is when you start drawing the box start with the Y letter and make sure all the dregrees are >= 90 then try to make the vanshing points in your head and start drawing the faces so every 2 faces go to the same VP
also i noticed that you cross hatching the wrong face alot you are doing it to your self so you understand the face that you are looking at better which might mean that you are not imagining the box in 3d space enough try to imagin it in your head more and start slow doing the steps i really recommend you practice it more
This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.
I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.
No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
