I am a returning Drawabox student that is hoping to get through the course this time, hopefully. I only did lesson 1 last time so this did feel like a review and refresher. So feel free to criticize as I know it helps with future improvements.

Ok the exercises you performed for the lines portion of the lesson are clearly drawn with confidence . Also that you took your time with drawing the lines and you ghosted.

With the Ellipses section with the table of ellipses exercise you did somewhat go outside of the tables boards in addition to your second time around some of your ellipses not being as accurate. I recommend taking a bit more time before drawing and thinking through the movement and your accuracy will come as you practice. Within the ellipse plane exercise your ellipses sometimes do not touch every side of the plane or extend outside the borders. Moreover some of your ellipses are a bit deformed. I recommend trying to touch the four sides of the plane more closely even if it isn’t just right and ghosting through your ellipses before the movement. For the funnel ellipses exercise I think you could have made a few of your ellipses closer together but this isn’t really an issue with your ellipses. Your ellipses do go over the border for some of your funnels in the future try to keep them inside the border. I think you aligned with the minor axis so good job with doing that.

For the box exercises I couldn’t find any problems. The boxes you drew look great.

Next Steps:

from here you have the 250 box challenge I wish you luck with completing it and remember to take your time when drawing and to enjoy the process.

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

Drawabox isn't the be-all, end-all of drawing fundamental education. Our approach prioritizes certain concepts over others, and while we believe it do so for good reasons, ultimately it doesn't appeal to everyone. If Drawabox simply doesn't work for you, give Proko's Drawing Basics course a try - at the very least, you'll probably find it to be a hell of a lot more fun.
