I have an overshooting problem, and I switched to printer paper because the spine of the sketchbook was in the way
I would say in the planes exercises obviously you didnt got every line to the center, about that, something that i do its i put the tip of the pen on every point that the line is gonna cross and then i start ghosting it, remember to use your shoulder more than the wrist, since what you are doing on every exercises its basically lines, you can keep the movement of your shoulder the same and do it to the speed you find more conformtable. Also something about Technical pens is that you shouldnt use them pointing to the side, you should always grab them as straight as possible otherwise the ink would have problems to come out.
P.S: I am just doing the same exercises so i maybe wrong.
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
