Hi AWINBELL, Lets get to the review.

1. Lines : Good job! however, I notice some frying happening on both ends in the SML homework, place the pen carefully at the beginning so this doesn't happen. There is a bit of wobble on the ghosting lines, try to prioritize confidence over accuracy, But overall, great job.

2. Ellipses : Great job! looks very confidence and accurate, they are mostly in bounds but I see that you drew through some of the ellipses over 3 times. Remember, the maximum number is 2-3 times :)

3. Boxes : Nicely done, however, there's a lot of wobble happening on the rough perspective boxes, again, focus on confidence more than accuracy. I can see that you had some trouble on the rotating boxes, but dont worry, your sence of 3D space will get better once you get into the 250 box challenge. overall, good job.

Next Steps:

Move on to the 250 box challenge.

Thank you so much! This is already really helpful and perspective as a concept is making a lot more sense to me in practice. I'm mostly getting used to drawing with my shoulder so this is also good. So far I'm having ugly boxes doing the challenge, but I'm starting to get more confidence in drawing them as the practice becomes clearer for me. Thank you so much for the crit!

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
