Hello,

Thank you so much for your time.

I hate insects so it took me a while to get used to look at them.

I am really happy to be done with it.

Thank you again.

Have a nice day!

Good job completing another lesson!

To me to be honest, it looked like you were rushing:

  1. Organic shapes--the cross contours are too straight in the middle. Try to visualize it wrapping around a round 3-d shape. Also you neglected to vary the degree as they go along the shape based on the perspective. You should go back and reread the directions and practice that one again at least as a warm up. It's really important.

  2. Mostly you only did one construction per page--it's not specified but if you're filling up pages it's better to do more. The more you practice the more you will get out of it.

Personally, I think you should go back and do more constructions, but technically you did the page count so I'm going to mark this as complete.

Next Steps:

Either go back and work more on this or proceed to the next lesson. Up to you.

Dear WAXWERK,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review this.

I will take in consideration all that you told me, I will practice the Organic Shapes as warm up and I will also make a few more constructions, maybe try to paint themso I can be excited about that. I do not like insects so looking at them made me sick, this did not helped :)).

Thank you again!

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
