After over a month i have finally finished Lesson 2.

The Textures were a big struggle for sure, as was the form intersections to some degree, and i can't help but feel like i did something wrong with the organic intersections. I can't say i really rmember the first few exercises very well.

I didn't really fully understand the texture analysis exercise, not least of all because its almost impossible to do crumpled paper with only cast shadows as most of it is FORM shadows, among other reasons, but i tried my best.

I also feel like the texture dissections were fairly poorly explained and it took me a while to really get a semblance of a hang of it by the end but even then, even with some help along the way by others, it's still a bit shaky to me.

I feel like my sausage shapes got better as i went, the first few were certainly rough but by the time i was at the end of the lesson i feel they had a bit more control to them to some extent at least.

For the form intersections - 2nd page, i know i should not have hatched the spheres, as i was told that by someone on the discord after the fact.

Also my brush pen ran out in only two pages. Stupid pen.

Any and all critique most welcome and thank you very much for looking over my homework!

Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
