Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

The link contains a post with all assignments for this homework.
Lines are pretty good, you have a little bit of wobble in your superimposed lines (So remember that confidence of a line will always be better than accuracy), but overall they are pretty confident, good job!
Ellipses are pretty good as well, I can see you aren't afraid of being confident, even if that means your ellipses aren't accurate. Funnels are pretty good, you are alligning the ellipses to the minor axis, and though some of your ellipses get a bit wobbly in this exercise, I can see improvement in the ellipses section overall already.
In rough perspective, I think you might be rushing a bit, be careful with the hatching, being careful with each line. And same goes for normal lines. Don't forget to ghost, and even if they come out wrong, don't repeat them. You're also doing mostly a good job in keeping the lines of the boxes horizontal and vertical.
Rotated boxes is good, you're rotating the boxes and keeping the corners between corners close. But just like in rough perspective, remember that you shouldn't repeat lines, no matter how wrong they are.
Lastly in organic perspective, I'm pretty sure you aren't approaching the lines correctly. Before drawing any line, no matter if its in the ghosted lines exercise or here, start with a starting and ending dot. And then ghost that line and execute it, don't draw that line directly without planning it. Boxes have issues, but that's to be expected, you'll work on them on the box challenge.
Here as well don't forget not to repeat lines, and don't cross any line as well, even if it's wrong. Remember you can clarify overlaps with superimposed lines to add line-weight.
Next Steps:
Overall I think you're doing a pretty good job, thought you have some issues, specially repeating lines and not planning lines by drawing ending and starting dot to ghost them. Remember to focus on those 2 issues in the 250 box challenge, your next assignment, good luck!
I'm noticing only now that you took the time to write a very detailed critique of my submission. Thank you so much for your very helpful comments (better almost a year late than never, I suppose)!
Some errors you pointed out I was aware of and have tried to improve, others (regarding perspective in particular) I hadn't noticed, so I should pay more attention going forward.
Not sure you're reading this but once again, thank you very much!
no worries :D
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
