Congrats on working through lesson 3!
Arrows:
Some arrows have really wobbly lines. Some also do not seem to "move through space" and do not have a smooth transition from what is supposed to be far away and what is closer. A couple shadows also appear on the outside of the arrows, instead of on the inside of curves.
Leaves:
The leaves look good, with lots of very exaggerated curves and with details on the edges of leaves that follw the established construction. The leaves also fold with the centerline which helps the drawing feel like a leaf.
Branches:
The ellipses here are very wobbly. Some lines are also wobbly. It also does not look like the extra pass of the lines was not used.
Plants:
The plants are supposed to be half purely construction and half with details. Most drawing here seemed to be detailed, maing it hard to see how your construction is. The leaves look nice and flowy. The branch aspects look okay, with some ellipses being wobbly and fraying on the outlines of the branches. The ellipses that make up your pot looked great, they were smooth and round throughout.
Good luck and keep drawing!
Next Steps:
Try another page of arrows and branches. Try to get smooth lines for the arrows and ellipses for the branches, which is more important that lines hitting the intened target. Make sure to use the compound strokes to try and get smooth lines when doing the branches.
Sakura Pigma Microns
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
