I hope to hear your critique. Thanks for viewing and stay healthy!
Nice job with finishing the challenge!
Some feedback on your work, there are several instances where you extend your lines in the wrong direction, 178, 213, 248 are all some examples. You need to extend the lines away from the viewer, and out into space, these boxes are extended outward towards the camera. When you plot your box's lines you need to think about where the lines are traveling in space.
232, also has the same issue but it's a bit harder to tell, when you can only see two planes of a box because of the angle that you see it, you still need to consider which of the obscured planes is closer to the viewer, the thinner looking plane will always be closer as explained here.
Next Steps:
I would like for you to draw two more pages of boxes, with a maximum of 6 per page, and only one page per day Really plan out in space where your points sit and how your box will look and what direction they are facing.
Goodluck!!
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
