The purposes of doing only the number of pages assigned is to stop you from grinding at the work; grinding greatly slows down your ability to improve because even if you repeat the exercise, you are not aware of all the issues you have to rectify, you don't have that experience or knowledge in the beginning.

The second purpose is for someone that does have that experience and knowledge to look at what you have done to highlight what you need to focus on to improve. I know you realize that your confident strokes and accuracy need work, but I am sure that there is something that you are missing. I would recommend submitting what you already have. The feedback giver will tell you to redo the section if it really is that bad.

However there are alternatives. You can submit to the Drawabox discord for feedback from other members of the community or you could just do it again. It's an honor system and no one will know but you. If you are dead set on doing it again and submitting for feedback, do it only once because of the previous reasons.

Wescott Grid Ruler

Wescott Grid Ruler

Every now and then I'll get someone asking me about which ruler I use in my videos. It's this Wescott grid ruler that I picked up ages ago. While having a transparent grid is useful for figuring out spacing and perpendicularity, it ultimately not something that you can't achieve with any old ruler (or a piece of paper you've folded into a hard edge). Might require a little more attention, a little more focus, but you don't need a fancy tool for this.

But hey, if you want one, who am I to stop you?
