Alright so
Two pages of superimposed lines. So, your lines look confident it appears you are using your shoulder. The fraying is mostly towards the mid to end off the line and you took the time to make sure to start at your starting point each pass. That means you met the goal of the exercise. The lines will tighten up overtime. I like how you played around with the lines on second page.
Ghosted lines this exercise is meant to get you thinking before you draw planning out your movements and rely on your muscle memory from ghosting your lines. Your lines look to have some wobble this could be from not drawing from your shoulder and letting your brain course correct. Some over/undershooting is to be expected but it’s hard to tell because you attached your lines to fit more. We spoke about this on discord.
Ghosted planes your lines look mostly straight and connecting. You were adventurous with the sizes and shapes looks cool. Because your lines look smooth here I wasn’t too worried about the ghosted lines because you clearly did it here. You took advantage of the whole page.
Table of ellipse the goal of this was to get used to drawing ellipses in a variety of shapes and sizes. You also did a good job of fitting them within the bounds you set for yourself, you also drew through them. Pretty tight for lesson 1. I don’t see too much wobble or deformities. Great job.
Ellipses in planes these look smooth and they look like the fit into the bound you set out for yourself. Looks pretty good some are bumpy but you had some tough planes to fit into. You set the standards high unbeknownst to you having to use your planes later is tough! Good job
Funnels these came out good. Good spacing tight. You could have played around with the degree but that was optional. You met the standard for this.
Plotted perspective looks good you met the criteria for this
Rough perspective your lines run parallel and perpendicular to the horizon and they seem to converge to the VP. Those lines look pretty good too.
Rotated boxes this looks really good! You met the criteria.
Organic perspective this looks good you played around with overlapping, got some rotation, and some variation in size. You did what was expected of you here. Good job.
Some of your pictures are pretty blurry if you try and get better pictures it helps other people help you.
Next Steps:
250 box challenge.
Pentel Pocket Brush Pen
This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.
Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
