Hi! Starting with your line exercises. Your superimposed lines look confidently drawn and fairly accurate. Some of the lines fray on both ends however, so be careful to put your pen down carefully at the same point each time. Your ghosted lines are accurate but wobble in places - make sure to draw through your each line with confidence, not trying to correct it halfway through. Your lines in planes show a definite improvement here.
Your tables of ellipses show good consistency, but make sure to draw the ellipses right the boundaries of each rectangle. There are some ellipses at the top of your second page that don't seem to be within a rectangle at all. Your ellipses in planes are better in this regard. Your funnels are again consistent and accurate, though the alignment with minor axes could be improved in a few of them.
Onto your rough perspective boxes. Sometimes the horizontal lines are not quite parallel with the horizon line, and the vertical lines perpendicular. Convergence to the vanishing point could also be improved. Most of the lines are drawn confidently however, which is good. Your organic perspective boxes are good, with some clear understanding of lines converging to vanishing points, and the lines are again confident. Well done on completing lesson 1!
Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens
Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.
Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
