Wew what an adventure that was.

Fairly happy with how it went, I feel like I am at the point where I can consistently make boxes that look ok, with lines converging roughly in the same area.

Still struggling with 'flat' and 'skinny' boxes where the sides are of dramatically different length, plus the whole process still feels quite mechanical, in terms of marking the vanishing point with a dot each time. (Not using a ruler or anything though)

I would hope that somehow some perspective wisdom has filtered through to my subconscious, but I still wouldn't feel comfortable freehanding a box from eye.

Should I be able to draw a box line by line without marking points by now is that not the point of the lesson?

Below this point is mostly ads. Indie projects, and tool/course recommendations from us.
This section is reserved for low-cost advertising space for art related indie projects.
With how saturated the market is, it is tough for such projects to get eyes on their work.
By providing this section, we hope to help with that.

Proko's Drawing Basics

Drawabox isn't the be-all, end-all of drawing fundamental education. Our approach prioritizes certain concepts over others, and while we believe it do so for good reasons, ultimately it doesn't appeal to everyone. If Drawabox simply doesn't work for you, give Proko's Drawing Basics course a try - at the very least, you'll probably find it to be a hell of a lot more fun.
