Oy ! So i will give you as much feedback that will help you in the future! :)

I will start with the Superimposed lines first :

  1. You have some woblinnes to your lines , but for the start is ok .

  2. You have forgot one superimposed line page on the post ( you can post it here by replying the link )

What you can do is making warm ups each time you takle any kind or drawing beforehand , maybe 5 min or so. It usually can take less , 1 page of super imposed combines with ghosted lines on one page just for warm ups is enough.

Now going further to Ghosted lines and Ghosted Planes . I ve seen you are very tense drawing them , i sugest to relax more and try to use the upper arm and the forearm more then the hand , since it can leads to less clean lines. Is the same thing as with the superimposed lines , but on the ghosted planes please careful where you center the lines inside the plane , since it will be essential in the future. Again it is normal at the beginning , i ve got the same issue in the past :). So don't worry too much doing them , just warm up and in a month or so you will see big changes , doing warmups daily before drawing anything.

Next one are Elipses :

  1. You are tense doing those as in the ghosted lines , so best tip is to find a ballance of having a very tense and a very relaxed hand . This will come with time and practice so for the start is ok .

  2. Funnels are ok with the tables of elipses so here the isn't much to talk about , there still are quite the same issues like i mentioned before.

Now we are going to talk about Boxes :

  1. The ploted perspective are cleanly done , good job .You can go even further more , accentuating the close face of those boxes giving force to these boxes and adding shadow lines to it for giving it solid volume.

  2. The rough perspective is ok , but again the lines shows not enough confidence , so of course you will do the warmups each time you draw anything to give you not only confidence to lines , but to the drawing you are planning to make after. At least thats how i feel most of the time after warm ups.

  3. The rotated perspective it will need work as well with the organic perspective , on the rotated ones you need to be more organised to what where goes what and another thing is that you didn t rotated the boxes as it should. Here is an example of that problem https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/d73eea49.jpg . Those are paralel to each other since the have the same vanishing point .

Again this is just an example . You have to get the fact that this is normal and you shouldn't take as a big deal , since even for me this was quite a challange :))))) . We all do mistakes and this from the beggining was made for us to fail on this exercise , is just for us to understand that there are things that we still need to work on. On my assignment i did it well but it took me allot more work since is not my first time working on these.

This is all the feedback i could gather , most are advices on what you go for , especially the warm up part. The only thing that i am asking is to reply the superimposed line page that is missing so that i would give you the next step which would be the 250 boxes challenge , which will help you imensely . You will see , is very helpful.

Next Steps:

Here you can put the page that is missing on the homework , if you want to go back to some of the exercises , you can share them here if you want additional feedback.

I hope that i helped you , i hope i wasn't too harsh on anything . I want to help and if i was in any way you can tell me so i can improve on giving critique :))) . Have a good time!

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Here I think is the missing page. For some reason it was left out of the album that I posted.

Thank you for your feedback. If I might add a little bit of my own self critique, I agree that confidence in my lines is a struggle. I'd love to just commit when I put down a line on a page, but sometimes I am either unsure of where I am going or I have a hard time imagining how far to take it. This takes practice, I'm sure.

Could you expand on Boxes no. 3 for me (what you wrote about)? There were a few where I made the mistake you linked, but I think my biggest issue was understanding the frame of reference to line things up. You said this line "you need to be more organised to what where goes what" what does that mean? What advice do you have to figure out where certain boxes ought to go (the corner boxes in the rotated boxes are particularly tricky)? How do I line them up as they ought to vs guessing using the semi-parallel lines like the lesson suggests?

Hello again my friend , so what i mentioned about being organised , is more implied to how you plan things out first , if you look back to the course the drawing itself has to be organised , which means planning and guessing too which you did .

Now it isn t a huge deal of that since even i made some mistakes to planning it out , which means making small marks , or points which would keep as a reminder where goes where . So this is more how you make it proportional and observing your sketch while you are working on it. Of course this remark wouldn't matter since i am working that way . I like to plan them in my head and while working i try to revision if it s following what i planned. Now you wont stay too much , just a few 10 seconds or so.

The issue that was mostly to the rotating part and following the closer boxes to make a intuitive guess . But that will come more natural when you are finishing the 250 box challange which will come next. I am working on it right now :))) .

Now i made a fast sketch for you , so i can show how you rotate them accordingly , and difference . Make a comparison between the link that i gave you before and the example i am giving you now .

I ve used so 2d examples too of how perspective works around rotating lines . On one and 2 objects too . I tried to showcase it there visually since is more practical. Btw the ray of vision is bigger , or field view , those are only the intersection of the VP to you , the field is bigger in that example.

I hope i answered your question

Next Steps:

Either way , congrats !

I hope that i ve helped you !

Now the next step you should do is the 250 box challenge !

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
