Hello Roostercycle!
You did a very good job! Here are a few pointers.
--SUPERIMPOSED LINES
You had confident lines with no wobbling which is great. Your lines began to fray on the longer lines and curved lines but as you keep drawing, those will improve naturally. Just remember to always have the idea of confident lines in the back of your mind.
--GHOSTED LINES
Very clean lines and you lined them up on the dots for many of them. Some them do have a bit of a wobble to them which might have been you aiming for the dot. Just let the arm do the work and lift of the page when you get near the other side, don't slow the motion down. You can always try and make a swifter quicker motion to see what happens.
--GHOSTED PLANES
The planes are looking good. Remember to always come back to this and the exercises befroe as warm ups :)
--TABLES OF ELIPSES
wow really nice job. You put in a lot of work. The elipses are consistent in their major and minor axis angle as well.
--ELIPISES IN PLANES
All elipses are well placed in the planes. For some of them you had only circled around once. Don't be afraid to go over them a couple of times, just make a swift consistent motion.
--FUNNELS
Elipses are again have a well aligned minor and major axis. When you do this again as a warm up try and think of it as an actual funnel and have the elipses that are on the far ends be a little wider than the elipses in the center which you are looking at form more of a straight on angle.
--PLOTTED PERSPECTIVE
Really nice work and very nice neat hatching lines.
--ROUGH PERSPECTIVE
The line quality in this one dropped a bit but it is understandable. There is lots think about and it can be overwhelming, but like anything just keep doing it and you will become more comfortable and confident. You had the main idea so good job.
--ROTATED BOXES
This one as you probably already know was a tough one haha. I struggled with it as well. What you forgot to do on this exercise was to move the vanishing point for each box as you rotate it. The boxes you had rotating were actual not rotating but were all moving towards the same vanishing point. It is a difficult concept to grasp at first and like Uncomfortable said this is one of those exercises where he kind of throws you into the deep end XD. You can rewatch and reread the lesson and see if something clicks and maybe try it a few other times for fun. Hopefully my explanation kind of made sense.
--ORGANIC PERSPECTIVE
This is another difficult one. Where is the horizon line!!!! haha
You did a great job though with boxes varying in sizes, shape and rotation. It may be confusing now but the 250 box challenge will clear lots of stuff up :) Make sure to read the additional notes as well, they are quite interesting.
Great job and have fun with the 250 box challenge!
Let me know if you have any questions! I will be more than happy to clear things up :)
Oh and make sure to do these warm ups as exercises!
YOU GOT THIS
Next Steps:
250 box challenge
and continue to do exercises as warm ups
Sakura Pigma Microns
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
