Having trouble all around but I guess that's the process. Especially with the rotating boxes I get super confused.

With lines and ellipses I'm finding the balance between "confident speed" which gets me a straight line but I tend to miss the mark (or over shoot), and hitting the mark but getting some wobbles. Now and again I hit the sweet spot and I think I'm starting to get it but have trouble maintaining my focus.

I feel like I make cleaner lines drawing from the elbow but I'm trying to keep to drawing from the shoulder. Do much better with smaller-mid sized ellipses which I'm sure is natural and also find I can make better ellipses if I draw from the hips/sway back and forth. Is this common? Should I avoid doing this?

All around I a not super satisified with the homework but I understand that this is the process and I hope the 250box challenge will do me good.

Alright, this a pretty decent submission but a few things i wanna note - also, dont sway your hips, just your shoulders

lines q - the overshooting/missing the mark is perfectly fine, we prefer that quality over wobbly lines because it will go away as your muscle memory builds up - 250 boxes will give you plenty of practice on getting your lines right, so dont think about it too much

ellipses - your ellipses are still too wobbly, showing your too focused on having them being accurate rather than aiming for smooth, confident, and even shaped ellipses - just focus on this in your warmup, dont worry about focusing on finding the balance as more often than not you'll just get wobbly lines. instead focus on having them smooth and confident, and let the accuracy come as the muscle memory develops over time

rotated boxes - your gaps need to be consistent and narrow, meaning your boxes adjacent edges need to be right up next to eachother - you also need to be making sure they rotate with each box outwards from the center, https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/16/notrotating

-organic perspective was quite lacking, and you need to keep in mind to do just as many of each exercise as told, around the amount shown in example pages

overall though, this is a great submission! you did well to get through, and you have a good mindset going not to overwork and instead to get critique, good job!

Thank you for the critique. I will be sure to keep working on my ellipses/rotatedboxes/organic perspectives as warmup while I work on my 250 box challenge. I will be sure to keep your feedback in mind and focus on the confident smooth lines rather than accurate shape/hitting the mark. Hopefully next time I can return with some improved work.
