I really liked lesson 4, it felt less like exercises and were more fun to do but I had some problems.

The proportions of my insects are often way off and whenever I try to draw through the forms, for example to draw the partly covered legs on the other side of the insect, it just becomes a mess. I also sometimes just scribbled entire limbs away! These are problems I will surely work on!

I know these are not the only problems with my drawings, so if you want to give critique it would be very appreciated!

Color and Light by James Gurney

Color and Light by James Gurney

Some of you may remember James Gurney's breathtaking work in the Dinotopia series. This is easily my favourite book on the topic of colour and light, and comes highly recommended by any artist worth their salt. While it speaks from the perspective of a traditional painter, the information in this book is invaluable for work in any medium.
