Hello Shypenguin! Looks like the Google Drive worked but no critiques were made! So here we go!

Lines

So far your lines are looking good and confident. You are going the right direction, of course there is some fraying and the occasional arcing, but that can be improved upon via warm up sessions going forward

Ellipses

Some of your ellipses in your Table of Ellipses and Funnels appear to be only drawn once. A reminder to draw these ellipses at least 2 to 3 times. Otherwise, most of your ellipses are drawn confidently. Remember that they can be improved in your warm up sessions moving forward

Boxes

Plotted Perspectives are looking good

Rough perspective boxes are mostly good, they hit closely to the intended vanishing point. In one of the boxes, it appears you plotted the width lines (which is supposed to run parallel) instead of the length lines (the one that's supposed to be extended to the vanishing point) You only need to draw them until they reach the horizon line. Many of the lines overshoot the horizon. Besides those things, you're in the right direction

Your rotated boxes confuse me. You only need to do one set of rotated boxes. It lacks guide boxes on the axes, one of the rotated boxes aren't drawn through and the amount of boxes drawn in every set is incomplete. It gives me the impression you're confused and lost in this exercise.

Your Organic Perspective is looking good, there is noticeable change in size and thus the perceived distance relative to the viewer. Some boxes appeared to be drawn through, but that's an optional thing to do.

Closing Remarks

Good work on finishing this lesson! Most of the exercises here are good enough. Remember that these exercises can be improved in your warm up sessions moving forward.

Unfortunately your Rotated Box exercise needs some revisiting before I can mark this lesson as complete, please revisit the Rotated Box instructions and perform a one page revision of your Rotated Box before I can consider this lesson as complete. I know it's difficult, but we are looking for good enough, not perfection.

That's all, do your revisions and keep up the good work!

Next Steps:

  • 1 page Rotated Boxes exercise

Take your time reading the instructions and do them to the best of your abilities

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

heads up, the google drive needs reviewers to request access. You can turn that off and upload a different link (I think?) or upload an imgur set.

The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something we've used ourselves, or know to be of impeccable quality. If you're interested, here is a full list.
Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz is a book after mine own heart, and exists very much in the same spirit of the concepts that inspired Drawabox. It's all about getting your ideas down on the page, doing so quickly and clearly, so as to communicate them to others. These skills are not only critical in design, but also in the myriad of technical and STEM fields that can really benefit from having someone who can facilitate getting one person's idea across to another.

Where Drawabox focuses on developing underlying spatial thinking skills to help facilitate that kind of communication, Rapid Viz's quick and dirty approach can help students loosen up and really move past the irrelevant matters of being "perfect" or "correct", and focus instead on getting your ideas from your brain, onto the page, and into someone else's brain as efficiently as possible.
