Starting from ground 0. Just recently decided to explore art and see where some real effort can get me.

Thanks for taking the time.

hi ducarte

your lines in the rough perspective got a bit more wobbly than before where you concentrated on one line only.

but i think you did a great job overall and can go on to the next step - the 250 box challenge.

take your time, there. I just was in 250 box challenge and it took me over a month to complete.

good luck!

Hey thank you for the review! I've noticed that I have some definite room for improvement in my free hand lining in general. I've been kicking around the idea that I may redo some of the homework, generally just to practice my ghosting and lining. I'm only hesitant to give it some additional practice so that I follow the specific instructions to press on, in order to maintain the intended experience.

hi there

yeah, of course. somewhere on the site it's recommended that you do 15min warmup everytime before you draw. so: continue with the box challenge and every day before you draw boxes you take one of the exercises of lesson 1 and practice for a bit. do not grind lesson one, you don't have to be perfect to continue!

Ya I feel like missing the info about the warm up was a major oversight on my part lol. I've been feeling like I was missing something, but I think you just filled the void.

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
