The teaching method and ideology is so me!! (I'm an engineer, so I love the structured approach).

Fingers crossed on my first attempt :)

Hello Darioszlain!

Superimposed Lines

Looks like you are being a bit timid when making these lines. Really try and just go for it using your shoulder. Just make sure you always start on the same end. The lines improved immensely on the second page so you are on the right track!

Ghosted Lines

The lines are still a bit wobbly here and some of the lines don't line up with the dots on either side. The dot you started on should atleast line up so make sure to take your time when committing to the line. Just keep doing these line exercises as warm ups and you will see lots of improvements

Ghosted Planes

I will say the same thing with the planes. Don't try to slowly aim for the point you are going for. Start confidently and accuracy will come later. Also when doing the cross-sections make sure to still be using the dots as guidelines. By doing this you are practicing the ghosted lines while doing ghosted planes. These are also looking better on the second page! Keep it up!

Table of Ellipses

Not sure how important it is in this exercise but make sure to follow the instructions clearly. Please follow how the table is shown in Uncomfortable's example, just to make sure you are not missing anything important by straying away from the instructions. The elipses are looking very confident which is great!I see for some of them you have only circled around twice. When starting it is best to start with three rotations. As you gain confidence you can reduce the number of rotations.

Ellipses in Planes

The wobbles are starting to come back on this one. Make sure not to try an aim. One thing that i found helps is to just look at the center of the plane instead of following your pen. This will help in getting a cleaner more confident circle. It maybe off but slowly your ellipses will begin to fit in the plane nicely. Remember to ghost lots to make sure you are ready!!

Funnels

These are looking pretty good! The ellipses are fitting nicely in the funnels. Make sure to watch out for the alignment and to continue to stay confident with your lines. When doing this exercise again try playing around with the angle of the ellipse. Have a shallower degree in the center and as you go out increase the degree making the ellipses closer to a circle.

Plotted Perspective

Looking great! Really nice and clean. You can play around with the horizon when doing this another time. lower it, elevate or rotate.

Rough Perspective

I noticed you kept the horizon line lower for all of them. Make sure try different things and dont be afraid to fail! By trying different things you can show yourself what yo get and don't. Your understanding of the one point perspective here looks solid, the line quality will come with practice.

Rotated Boxes

This is a tough one! Your lines look very confident here! nice job! The only issue here is the convergence of the boxes. The box you drew next to the center box has being rotated but the boxes in the outer edges have a very similar vanishing point making the boxes look like they have not been rotated. When you rotate something the vanishing point of that object changes. This is hard to explain and understand so please let me know if somethings aren't clear.

Organic Perspective

Your lines are improving lots! awesome to see. This as you know is another tough exercise, you did a great job. As you continue on to the 250 box challenge you will gain a better sense of how this all works!

Good luck on the 250 box challenge and continue to warm up with some of these exercises!

Hello Dimi,

Thanks for the amazing feedback. It was all very clear and right to the point, I could really identify myself on the improvement point that you mention.

I lost the momentum on the course since it took me a while to get meaningful feedback, and I didnt wanted to move on to the 250 box challenge before having some improvement points.

But, will surely find time and motivation to move on!

Thanks a lot, happy new year!

Hello Darioszlain!!

Happy New Year!

Yeah I totally understand that. I'm basically on my third go at drawabox and it can be very difficult to stay on it.

I had that same experience with my second try with getting no feedback on my lesson 2. it really throws you off and kind of hurts as well haha.

if you can, I really recommend getting official critique. You can start with the tier 1 subscription and see how you like it and take it slow. You can always cancel as well.

When getting community feedback try and post on all the different platforms! hopefully someone can help you out! Try to give others feedback as well:)

take care and keep doing what you love!!

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
