These are definitely better. I have just one issue to draw to your attention to, just so you keep it in mind going forward.

For the more complex leaf structure in the bottom-middle of the page (the one with the different sub-leaf structures existing within the larger footprint), remember that every stage of construction makes a decision. That outer shape defines the overall footprint the leaf will occupy, and thus when you're drawing the flow line for the subsequent arms, you've already decided how far out they're going to reach - so it's important that you avoid leaving arbitrary gaps between the end of those flow lines and the edge of that initial footprint.

Instead, be sure to draw each flow line so it extends right to the perimeter of that footprint shape. Then, as you've been doing, each smaller leaf shape then ends right where its flow line does. This allows every stage of construction to make a decision, and for the subsequent steps to respect those decisions, rather than contradict them.

Anyway, all in all you are improving. I'll go ahead and mark this lesson as complete.

Next Steps:

Move onto lesson 4.

This critique marks this lesson as complete.

I undesrtand. I will do my best to keep that in mind for every subsequent construction.

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. I'm especially fond of this one for sketching and playing around with, and it's what I used for the notorious "Mr. Monkey Business" video from Lesson 0. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.

I would not recommend this for Drawabox - we use brush pens for filling in shadow shapes, and you do not need a pen this fancy for that. If you do purchase it, save it for drawing outside of the course.
